ABOUT ME

I’ve been around computers for as long as I can remember. I’ve always loved customizing, tinkering, and exploring what happens behind the scenes. Figuring out how things work and how to make them work in ways you wouldn’t expect.

I’m currently studying Computer Information Science, focusing on networking and cybersecurity. I’m fascinated by how entire systems connect and communicate – and by the challenge of keeping those systems secure, efficient, and impenetrable. And I especially appreciate the idea of being the person responsible for making that network flawlessly and safely.

Through this website, I want to share who I am, what Cybersecurity means to me, and why I find it so rewarding. This is a space to document my learning path, projects, and insights as I grow in this field.

WHY CYBERSECURITY

Cybersecurity connects all the things I love: taking systems apart, understanding how they work, and pushing technology beyond what most people see on the surface. For me, it’s not just about preventing attacks — it’s about mastering the inner workings of the digital world.

“If I can understand it, I can protect it — or break it.”

This mindset drives everything I do. Cybersecurity matters to me because:

I love taking things apart to understand how they work

Whether it’s a computer, a network, or a rooted phone, I enjoy digging into the internal systems and figuring out what makes them tick.

I enjoy finding vulnerabilities — and fixing them

There’s something satisfying about identifying weaknesses and turning them into strengths. It’s like solving a puzzle where every answer makes a system safer.

Cybersecurity lets me push technology beyond its limits

I’ve always been drawn to the edges of what’s possible. Security work lets me explore those edges, experiment, and learn in ways normal use never would.

I want to protect systems and stay in control

I like being the one who understands what’s going on behind the scenes — not just using technology, but mastering it.

I’m excited by the challenge of staying one step ahead

The cybersecurity field evolves constantly, and that challenge motivates me. There’s always something new to learn, test, break, or defend against.

Cybersecurity isn’t just a career path for me — it’s a natural extension of the way I think. It fits the way I learn, the way I work, and the way I look at technology.

WHERE I’M HEADED NEXT

I am currently working toward an Associate Degree in Cybersecurity and plan to continue building my foundation in networking, Linux, Windows, and security fundamentals. Over the next few semesters, my goals include:

  • Strengthening my Networking & Linux Skills
  • Earning Key Networking Certifications
  • Building A Full Cyber Home Lab
  • Moving Forward Into a Cybersecurity Role
